YHLO Joins BSI’s 125th Anniversary Gala in London
On April 23, the British Standards Institution (BSI) held a grand gala dinner in London to celebrate its 125th anniversary. Mr. Hu Deming, Founder of YHLO, and Mr. Hu Kunhui, Chairman of YHLO, were invited to attend.
YHLO was the only Chinese IVD enterprise represented at the event. Together with global industry leaders, it celebrated this milestone and exchanged views on standards and innovation.
BSI is the world’s first national standards institution, a founding member of ISO, and a leading EU Notified Body. Since 1901, it has safeguarded quality and safety while facilitating global trade with high standards. Today, BSI publishes over 3,100 standards annually — covering BS, BS EN, BS ISO, BS IEC and more — developed through broad expert input to support industrial growth and protect consumers.
This invitation strongly recognizes YHLO’s long‑standing commitment to robust compliance, quality innovation, and global expansion.
YHLO has become a major force in China’s IVD industry going global. The company is rapidly expanding its international footprint, with seven overseas service centers and offices — including a training and service center in Egypt — and products sold in over 120 countries and regions worldwide. Through consistent quality, YHLO continues to win the trust of an ever‑growing number of global customers.
YHLO and BSI’s close partnership over the years has delivered strong results, ushering in a new era for Chinese medical devices in terms of international compliance and global reach.
As early as 2020, YHLO initiated its system and CE certification collaboration with BSI.
In 2022, YHLO received its first MDSAP certificate from BSI, marking continuous improvement of its registration and certification system.
In October 2023, Dr. Michael Weissig, Global Managing Director Medical Devices (Regulatory Services) at BSI Group, visited YHLO and presented newly issued IVDR CE certificates, enabling all YHLO chemiluminescence platform products to transition from IVDD CE to IVDR CE.
In 2025, Dr. Michael Weissig visited YHLO again to present additional certificates, signifying that YHLO achieved full IVDR CE certification for the whole blood bank panel – making YHLO the first IVD manufacturer in China to reach this milestone.
To date, YHLO has obtained IVDR CE certification from BSI for 200 products, placing it at the forefront of the industry.
YHLO has built its global competitiveness through rigorous compliance, sustained R&D, and end‑to‑end quality control. Starting with system establishment and moving to certification breakthroughs – from individual products to full‑platform coverage – the company has earned recognition for Chinese IVD solutions worldwide.
