By using YHLO's SARS-CoV-2 CLIA solution, the laboratories can speed up the testing and have accurate results at the same time to help better prevent and control the epidemics.

The Atoutbio, located in France’s Nancy City, has installed a brand-new analyzer, which can detect antibodies for new coronavirus and whether a person is infected or not. It is the first laboratory in France to carry out the serological tests of COVID-19 virus. Three weeks ago, this laboratory began the preparations to introduce this analyzer and completed it on March 31, 2020. The laboratory was very satisfied with that.

The lab manager Christophe Baillet mentioned that as a supplementary tool for RT-PCR, serological tests can help detect whether groups like health care workers, suspected cases with severe symptoms, and people with weak immunity, have positive COVID-19 results or not. Christophe Baillet estimated that serological tests would be more widely used in the next one and a half months. During the quarantine phase, serological tests can provide basic reference data.

Demand for the serological test has exploded worldwide, making it difficult to buy reagents. “The test speed of the analyzer is up to 180 tests per hour,” the Atoutbio said, "and our current inventory is only 10,000 tests."
